Black Lamp

$2,470.00

Acrylic on Canvas  36" x 24"

Painted in 2011 on a Gallery Wrap Canvas that does not require framing for display.

"Black Lamp" is a symbolic study of a common table lamp absorbed in a shades of blue checkerboard grid morphing to yellow and green where light emanates from openings of it's reddish orange shade. It was a featured work at my 2012 NYC Chelsea show "Ordinary Things" and received high praise in a review by Gallery and Studio Magazine*.

*“Black Lamp” is a knockout of a painting, as witty in its deadpan precision as the best work of Roy Lichtenstein, Stuart Davis, or the little known but terrific jazz age painter Gerald Murphy whose painting “Wasp and Pear” is owned by M0MA."

Price $3,240**
(A certified copy of the magazine cover and review page will be included with the painting.)

**Standard price plus 50% for being singled out in a very positive review by a leading Art Publication.
