" Sorry We're Closed"  was painted in the late nineties from my recollection of a traveling circus event I shared with my children some years earlier. I divided the canvas into two sections: (1) a somrwhat abstract parody of my recollection of the actual circus scene and, (2) a close up of the clown calling it a day while peeking from the tent immersed my familiar Flower Grid. Though perhaps a bit Surreal, I presume it would be cataloged as an Expressionist work

The Painting hangs in a private collection in Tinton Falls, New Jersey.
